I work as a wireless switch technician for a telecommunications company, that is the largest rural carrier in the United States. it isn't the most exciting work in the world as it is designed to be redundant and repetive. It is designed for people that are content in doing the same tasks over and over. In short my job responsibilites is to make sure GSM traffic stays flowing and help prevent service affecting glitches.

Because the company I work for is small in terms of AT&T or T-Mobile we get to do more job functions than those in the same position at those larger telecoms. I ave learned telephony technolgies, administrating different GSM switches, TDMA, building Sun Java Enterprise Messaging servers for SMS to E-mail and back the other way, translations, signalling, SIP, and probably a few other stuff that I can't remember. I also administrate a disaster recovery system in which I designed while working as a consultant before joining my current company.

So, instead of focusing this site on what I get paid to do, I'm going to include information in what I'm interested in. The entire reason for this site is to explore different web design styles so I'll eventually add more than just this single page. I hope to have more media enriched design with a couple of weeks.
